Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan and its entire population is about twelve million. The Olympic Qualification Tournament will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, a world-class sporting complex located in Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. The gymnasium was refurbished in 1990 and is equipped with high-tech machinery and 10,000 seats. It has hosted many national and international sporting events, most notably gymnastic competitions at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Various volleyball events also took place at the gymnasium, such as the Olympic Qualification Tournament 2004 and the World Cup 2007.
